Cllr James Husband
James Husband is the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and has been involved with the foundation of the Academy since 2004. He is also a governor of one of the Academy's feeder primary schools, St Cuthbert with St Matthias Church of England Primary School in Earl's Court.
After taking A Levels in maths, physics and chemistry, he joined the stock exchange firm, Pinchin, Denny, having studied economics at Edinburgh. After trading in gilts and related futures and options he later specialised in the Japanese bond market, working for Nikko Securities in their London fixed income division as Head of UK and Middle East Sales, responsible for dealing with central bank and institutional investment management clients. Now retired, he is an investor in several small businesses.
James lives just south of Kensington High Street with his wife, Munna, in Abingdon ward, which he represents on the Council. |
