welcome
Welcome to the Chelsea Academy website. We are delighted that Chelsea Academy opened in September 2009 admitting 162 year 7 Students. The Academy is proudly sponsored by both the the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and the London Diocesan Board for Schools of the Church of England.

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has a reputation for good schools and has long recognised the need for additional secondary school places in this part of the Royal Borough. For the London Diocesan Board for Schools, Chelsea Academy is an opportunity to establish a Church of England secondary school in the Borough.

Together as sponsors, our vision is for a school that serves its local community and has a distinctive Christian ethos, encouraging all students to attain both academic success and personal achievement.

For the first year, the Academy is housed in high-quality temporary accommodation in Hortensia Road, a short distance from the permanent Lots Road site. The Academy has been designed by award winning architects Fielden Clegg Bradley Studios, and will offer modern and well equipped facilities.

We do hope you will join us and choose to become a part of the exciting Chelsea Academy journey.
