Dear Parent(s) / Carer(s),

Chelsea Academy Christmas Concert

Tuesday 15th December 2015

We are holding our annual Christmas Concert on Tuesday 15th December 2015 at 7:00pm as part of our musical celebrations at the end of term.  For our Year 7 students, this is an important occasion on which to become fully involved in the musical life of the Academy by making their own contribution to the concert.

Year 7 Participation

In recent weeks, all Year 7 students have been developing their singing skills in music lessons and they will be learning and preparing for a whole Year 7 singing item for the concert.  All Year 7 students are expected to take part in the item thus producing a spectacular performance involving all 180 students.  Students who are genuinely unable to attend must notify the Academy in writing clearly stating the reason why they are unable to participate. This must be returned to the Music department as soon as possible, and no later than Friday 11th December 2015.

Students must arrive at the Academy by 6:30pm at the latest, dressed in full and correct Academy uniform.

Invitation

Chelsea Academy warmly invites parents / carers of those performing to come to the concert and to bring along family and friends.  There will be a variety of musical items performed and admission will be £3 for adults and £2 concessions for Senior Citizens and children. We appreciate that attendance may not be possible; if this is the case we would ask that all students are collected from the Academy promptly, and no later than 8:30pm.  If you would like your child to make their own way home directly from the Academy, please provide confirmation of this in writing to me no later than Friday 11th December 2015.

If you have any queries, or would like to discuss any matters regarding the arrangements, please do not hesitate to contact me directly, via the Academy telephone number.

May I conclude by wishing you a happy forthcoming festive season, and thank you and your child for your continued support.

Yours sincerely

Mr S Hill
