As part of our links with imperial College, we regularly have visiting scientists to run ‘INSPIRE Workshops’, relating to their research, for our students. This week we had sessions on ‘superhydrophobic surfaces’ (materials that repel water) and how they could be used, and another session about the process involved in creating new medicines and how they end up on pharmacy shelves. As always our students really made the most of these fantastic opportunities and were superb ambassadors for our Academy.
