Maths Update

On Tuesday 7th November, 22 students from across Year 11, 12 and 13 sat the UK Mathematical Trust Senior Maths Challenge. This is a 90 minute multiple choice paper full of challenging questions which test problem solving skills. Here's an example question from the paper: This year's results are our best ever! Of the 22 Chelsea Academy students sitting the paper, 3 Gold awards, 5 Silver awards and 11 Bronze awards were awarded. A Bronze award is awarded to students in the top 60% of participants, a Silver award to the top 30% of participants and a Gold award to the top 10%, so huge congratulations to the following 19 students: The three students who attained Gold have also qualified…
