Chelsea's got talent

Students at Chelsea Academy revealed their artistic skills at the Academy’s first ever talent show final held at St John’s Church on the King’s Road on Thursday 27 May.

The audience was treated to an evening of classical ballet, street dancing, music, comedy and drama all provided by the Year 7 students.

The winning act, Sara Theodoulides, was chosen by a panel of judges which included the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Cllr James Husband, Deputy Mayor, Cllr Maighread Condon-Simmonds and Chelsea Academy Principal, Andy Yarrow.

Cllr Husband, Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, said: “I thoroughly enjoyed playing a part in this wonderful evening and it was no easy task to pick a winner. Well done to the students and staff of Chelsea Academy for putting on a great show.”

The talent show heats were held two weeks ago with a majority of students taking part.
