Parents

Parents and carers are expected to support fully and play their part in reinforcing the Academy’s ethos and expectations on a day-to-day basis.

There are parents’ consultation evenings for all year groups, and parents are encouraged to make contact with students’ teachers, Learning Coaches and Heads of House whenever they have any queries or concerns. Contact can be made by email or telephone as well as in writing. In most cases, the first point of contact for parents is their child’s Learning Coach.

There is a termly Parents’ Council meeting at which any parents can meet with the Principal, Vice Principal and Director of Finance and Operations. This meeting provides an opportunity for the Academy to consult parents about aspects of Academy life and possible future developments and for parents to share feedback, reflections, suggestions and ideas. Meeting dates for this year and notes from previous meetings can be found on the Parents’ Council page.

The Academy has one Parent Governor.

There are regular social events for parents, details of which appear in the Academy newsletter and on the homepage of this website.
