Higher education preparation

Preparation for higher education will start early on in Year 12. Students will benefit from a range of visiting speakers from universities as well as a programme of lectures. Visits to universities will also be arranged and there will be a higher education fair at the end of Year 12.

Students who wish to apply to some of the most competitive universities in the country, such as Oxbridge, and those who wish to apply for medicine, dentistry or veterinary science will benefit from specialised support programme. This will include advice on extended reading, discussion tutorials and interview preparation.

All students will benefit from having a learning coach, who will be responsible for two or three Sixth Form students and their personal statements.
