The Academy sponsors

Chelsea Academy is sponsored by the London Diocesan Board for Schools and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has an excellent reputation for the high academic standard of its schools. Recognising the significant need for additional secondary places in the area, the Royal Borough is proud to be co-sponsor of Chelsea Academy.

The London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS) is the Church of England’s body responsible for overseeing both primary and secondary schools in the Diocese of London. Their vision is one of service to people of all faiths and backgrounds. LDBS have a long and successful history of involvement in the educational, social and spiritual development of young people.

LDBS is the sponsor for the St Mary Magdalene Academy in Islington, and Wren Academy in Finchley. In addition to Academies, the LDBS supports nearly 150 Church of England schools in London, including 15 secondary schools.
