Year 13 Visit to Hutchison Whampoa

Y13 have just had another exciting visit to Hutchison Whampoa development opposite the Academy. This provides an excellent local case study of regeneration which we are lucky enough to have on our doorstep. Sixth form geographers have been visiting the site for the past 5 years and it was impressive to see how much progress has been made during the past two years. The students were able to really get a feel for the scale of the development and what the finished project will include.  This experience will be very useful for their regeneration paper next summer and also for their NEA.
