Drama at Chelsea Academy

On Tuesday this week, Year 10 were treated to a wonderful production of ‘A Midsummer Night's Dream' at the Globe Theatre. We behaved like real ‘groundlings’ by standing the whole way through but the show was more than diverting enough to let us forget about our aching legs! On Tuesday and Wednesday, Year 11 were treated to the dress rehearsal performances of ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’. We were blown away by the magic and SO many coups de theatre. Don’t mention the dementors! Finally, the cast of ‘Oliver!’ were treated to a workshop with Disney practitioners where we learned dances from the new production of Frozen. On Tuesday and Wednesday, Year 11 were treated to the dress rehearsal performances of ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’. We were blown away by the magic and SO many coups de theatre. Don’t mention the dementors!

Finally, the cast of ‘Oliver!’ were treated to a workshop with Disney practitioners where we learned dances from the new production of Frozen. Such a lot of fun and a real bonding experience for the cast since they are from Year 7 right through to Year 13!
