GCSE Success

As Chelsea Academy celebrates its 10th year since opening, it is also celebrating another fabulous year of GCSE results. Every year for the past five years, the GCSE results have improved and this year is no exception. 35% of all GCSE grades achieved were at a grade of 7 or above (equivalent to an A or above) with the English and Maths pass rates at 90% and 82% respectively. This is a significant increase on last year and is a testament to the hard work of the Year 11 cohort.  Principal, Matt Williams said: ‘This year group joined Chelsea Academy at the same time as I did and it has been a privilege to watch them grow and develop over…

‘This year group joined Chelsea Academy at the same time as I did and it has been a privilege to watch them grow and develop over the last five years. They have worked so hard in the time that they have been with us and have seen a number of positive changes take place across the school that have allowed them to achieve these record breaking results. I am delighted that their hard work has paid off and am sure many of them will be celebrating with their proud families this evening and coming back to study with us at Sixth Form. With these fabulous GCSE results, and the A level results last week, I must say a huge thank you to the staff at Chelsea Academy who work tirelessly every day to ensure that every young person flourishes’.
