All twenty Year 13 Chemistry students visited the Reach Out lab at Imperial with Miss Edge, Dr Doyle and Mrs Holgate for a workshop on Spectroscopic techniques. We had two and a half hours using IR and NMR spectroscopy to analyse different compounds and identify them. Whilst we were there, Professor Robert Winston stopped by and had a chat with our students as they worked – giving advice about university and careers in sciences. Everyone had a great morning!
