King’s College Natural and Mathematical Sciences Christmas Lectures

Last week, Mrs Holgate, Miss Keshk and Miss Ryder took 25 Year 12 Science and Maths students to King’s College London to attend the annual Christmas Lectures for sixth form students. We were treated to talks on a wide range of topics, including how cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin works securely, the Chemistry of coloured glass baubles, the Physics of baubles, and how MRI imaging is being used to understand the development of the brain during pregnancy. We were also treated to gingerbread and hot chocolate during the interview, and a tour of the Strand campus.
