It has been an exciting half term for our STEM enthused students. Our program has seen students working in STEM after school club on various activities run by our Science team. These include flame tests, a cow’s eyeball dissection and investigating forces and momentum by making egg landers.
We had a panel of students who judged Science related books for the Young People’s Book Prize run by the Royal Society. The students were sent a shortlist of books and judged them on a range of categories.
Upcoming Events for the next half term:
- KS4 STEM-a-thon: explain as many key STEM terms in under 180 seconds.
- Science Club: Science investigations and experiments for our young upcoming scientists.
- Robotics Club: Building, programming Robots and being set team challenges.
- Design Masterclass and Enterprise: Join Ms Warr in the D&T makerspace where you will focus on key issues around materials wastes and up-cycling into marketable products.
