Year 12 Biology Trip to Juniper Hall

The Year 12 Biology trip on 27th-28th March to Juniper Hall, Surrey, was a success. Students were able to spend two days and one night immersing themselves in nature and got to do activities such as capture-mark-release-recapture with snails, sample the abundance and diversity of woodland environments, set up overnight mammal traps, collect and investigate woodlice behaviour in choice chambers and also investigated the distribution of plants and abiotic factors affecting these on Box Hill. Students engaged enthusiastically in the activities and also the statistical analysis, even during the second day where we experienced some rainy weather. All students persevered and flourished during their time away.
