Year Group Update – Year 11 – December 2019

Community Charities: At the start of half-term 2, Year 11 students (along with Year 10) were invited to vote for their flagship charity: the charity we will support going forwards. The charity that was selected as the Student Flagship charity was Cancer Research UK. We look forward to spending the next year running various events to raise both funds and awareness for this fantastic cause. In a similar vein, the Learning Coaches were also tasked with voting for the Staff Flagship charity and settled on Parkinsons UK.  Concluding Notes: It’s been an extremely busy half-term, with our successful Drop Down Day being the major highlight over the past few weeks. Concluding Notes:
It’s been an extremely busy half-term, with our successful Drop Down Day being the major highlight over the past few weeks. Students engaged in a range of activities and sessions: all designed to prepare them for their mock exams during December. These exams have been taken with the importance they are owed. Students have really tried to give their all and to really immerse themselves in the pressures of a busy exam season. With the mock results released on Wednesday 15th January, we wish the entire year group a restful Christmas – it is extremely deserved.
