This half term Year 8 students have been lucky enough to meet a real author.  Onjali Q. Rauf visited the Academy and spoke to them about the joy of literature and even writing their own novels.  They have also had the opportunity to go on Science trips, most recently to the South Downs in Sussex on a Biology Field Trip.

Year 8’s have played a central part in the Student Voice process this half term, presenting student ideas to the Committee in order to best serve the Academy.

During the week of 3 February the Academy marked Children’s Mental Health Week in association with our counselling service, Place2Be. Various initiatives took place around the Academy which all Students were encouraged to take part in.
