Students and staff at Chelsea Academy were celebrating last Thursday following the publication of the 2026 provisional A Level results, which highlight sustained academic growth and impressive individual achievements.
This year’s results reflect a sustained upward trajectory. Students at the Academy achieved an average grade of a high C+, with an Average Point Score (APS) of 34.89. This represents a significant 2.32-point increase compared to 2023/2024 whilst maintaining consistently strong outcomes across all subject areas.
Demonstrating high academic ambition, a fifth of all grades awarded were A* or A (20.1%), while an impressive 54% were graded A* to B, matching the Academy’s high watermark from the previous academic year. Early benchmark data indicates that official value-added measures, scheduled for publication in early 2027, will firmly align with last year’s strong progress figures.
The cohort’s performance has secured individual places at a range of highly aspirational and selective higher education institutions, including Imperial College London, UCL, King’s College London, University of Warwick, University of Bath, University of Exeter and City St George’s.
Highlights of individual university destinations include:
| Imperial College London: | Computing (A*A*AA) and Electrical & Electronic Engineering (A*AAA) |
| UCL: | Astrophysics (A*A*AA), Mathematics (A*A*B), and International Management (AAA) |
| King’s College London: | Dentistry (A*A*A) and Business Management (A*AA) |

Academy leaders praised students for their determination and dedication. “I am immensely proud of our Year 13 students”; Mariella Ardron, Principal at Chelsea Academy. “These results are a clear reflection of their ambition, resilience, and incredible work ethic over the past two years. To see so many of our young people securing places at world leading universities – studying everything from Dentistry and Astrophysics to Law and Nursing – is fantastic. They have shown what can be achieved when our Academy community works together to flourish, and I wish them every success as they take their next steps.”
