Year 8 traded the classroom for the coast on an unforgettable Land & Wave expedition to Bournemouth. The trip was an electric blend of adventure and teamwork, centered around building resilience through shared challenges.
On the water, students navigated Swanage Bay with jumbo paddleboarding and kayaking. Whether they were coordinating paddles in chaotic harmony or balancing through the surf, the focus remained on mutual encouragement and building confidence on the waves.
The action continued on land with archery and climbing, where precision and grit were put to the test. Near Corfe Castle, the group mastered bushcraft skills, engineering waterproof shelters and perfecting fire-lighting techniques to survive the elements.
Evenings were spent sharing stories and celebrating the day’s victories. From hitting a bullseye to scaling new heights, Year 8 showed incredible spirit and determination. Well done on creating a fantastic core memory!
