The U12 girls’ football team made a great success in their first ever Cup fixture against Sacred Heart. The game started well but Sacred Heart took an early lead, this caused our team to become tense and anxious, however a goal was soon conceded by the opponents. This got the girl’s spirits high and increased their concentration. As the whistle goes the Managers agree to extra time with Golden Goal, the pressure mounted on both teams, our defense stepped up and we kept possession for most of the first half of extra time, just as the whistle was about to go an own goal was scored by the opposition sending the Chelsea Academy team into the next round. Huge well done to the team!
